This training builds on Level 1 learning to equip participants with the skills to facilitate restorative circles, meetings and conferences and to support organisations to implement a restorative approach. It identifies the essential attributes of a restorative practices facilitator, examines in detail restorative values and principles, reviews emotional intelligence, practises use of restorative questions and then introduces and explains different types of circles (including various relationship building and problem-solving circles), restorative meetings and conferences (including clear wrongdoer and no clear wrongdoer scenarios). A major part of the training is on learning and practicing the facilitation skills necessary to facilitate all three types of restorative approach. The training concludes with a focus on implementing restorative practice in organisations. At the end of training, participants should feel equipped and able to begin using their facilitation skills. The 21-hour training is normally delivered over three days.
Duration 3 days for a maximum of 12 participants, 4 days for a maximum of 16 participants, comprising classroom training and reflective learning
